L’affaire Epstein : ce que l’on sait, ce que l’on tait, et ce que cela révèle vraiment Par Stéphane Thomas Berbudeau L’affaire Jeffrey Epstein est souvent présentée comme un scandale sexuel isolé, celui d’un homme puissant tombé pour ses crimes. Cette lecture est confortable. Elle permet de refermer le dossier rapidement. Mais elle est très loin de suffire. Car Epstein n’est pas une anomalie. Il est un nœud. Et c’est précisément pour cela que cette affaire dérange autant. ⸻ 1. Les faits établis (socle incontestable) Voici ce qui est indiscutable, juridiquement et factuellement : • Epstein a été condamné pour crimes sexuels, notamment sur mineures. • Il disposait d’une richesse disproportionnée par rapport à toute activité économique clairement identifiable. • Il fréquentait les plus hauts cercles politiques, financiers, scientifiques et médiatiques internationaux. • Il possédait des propriétés explicitement conçues pour l’isolement, le contrôle et la surveillance. • Il est mort en détention en 2019, dans des conditions officiellement qualifiées de suicide, malgré une surveillance censée être maximale. Ces éléments, à eux seuls, constituent déjà une anomalie systémique majeure. ⸻ 2. Ce qui ne colle pas dans le récit officiel Quand on observe cette affaire sans émotion mais avec rigueur, plusieurs incohérences sautent aux yeux. a) Le profil financier Epstein n’était : • ni un trader reconnu, • ni un entrepreneur innovant, • ni un gestionnaire de fonds transparent. Pourtant : • il avait accès à des capitaux colossaux, • il gérait l’argent de personnes extrêmement puissantes, • sans structure claire, • sans reporting classique, • sans contrôle durable. ➡️ Cela correspond à un rôle d’intermédiaire, pas de créateur de valeur. ⸻ b) Les protections institutionnelles répétées Avant 2019 : • Epstein a bénéficié de traitements judiciaires exceptionnellement cléments. • Des enquêtes ont été interrompues, ralenties, ou requalifiées. • Des accords ont été passés dans l’ombre, à l’encontre des pratiques habituelles. ➡️ Ce niveau de protection ne s’obtient pas par le charisme ou l’argent seul. Il suppose une utilité systémique. ⸻ c) La mort en détention Sans entrer dans le sensationnel, un fait demeure : Un détenu aussi sensible : • avec un tel réseau, • une telle exposition médiatique, • un tel risque de révélations, aurait dû être l’un des détenus les plus protégés du système pénitentiaire américain. Or : • caméras inopérantes, • surveillants absents, • protocoles non respectés. ➡️ Quelle que soit l’interprétation finale, le système a failli de manière totale. Et un système ne faillit jamais ainsi par hasard. ⸻ 3. La fonction réelle d’Epstein Si l’on sort du personnage pour regarder la fonction, une autre lecture apparaît. Epstein n’est pas seulement un criminel sexuel. Il est le point de convergence de trois sphères : 1. Pouvoir 2. Compromission 3. Silence Son rôle central semble avoir été : • de mettre en contact, • de piéger par la transgression, • de créer une dépendance par la honte et le secret. Ce mécanisme est ancien, documenté historiquement, et utilisé dans : • les services de renseignement, • les réseaux d’influence, • les systèmes de contrôle élitiste. ➡️ On ne contrôle pas les puissants par la force. On les contrôle par ce qu’ils ne peuvent jamais avouer. ⸻ 4. Pourquoi cette affaire dépasse largement Epstein Le vrai scandale n’est pas Epstein. Le vrai scandale est que : • les réseaux révélés ne sont jamais cartographiés publiquement, • les clients ne sont jamais exposés de manière systémique, • les médias s’arrêtent toujours au seuil du dérangeant. Pourquoi ? Parce que cette affaire touche : • des fondations politiques, • des structures économiques, • des figures intouchables, • et des récits qu’il est interdit de fissurer. Epstein est devenu le fusible narratif parfait : • on concentre la haine sur lui, • on referme le cercueil, • et on évite de regarder la structure. ⸻ 5. Ce que cette affaire révèle sur notre monde L’affaire Epstein révèle surtout ceci : Nous ne vivons pas dans un monde gouverné par la morale, mais par : • la dissimulation, • la gestion du scandale, • et la protection des récits dominants. Elle montre que : • la justice n’est pas aveugle, • la transparence a des limites strictes, • et certaines vérités ne sont pas faites pour être révélées, mais contenues. ⸻ 6. Le véritable enseignement La question n’est pas : “Que cachait Epstein ?” La vraie question est : “Pourquoi un tel système a besoin d’exister pour fonctionner ?” Tant que cette question n’est pas posée collectivement, les mêmes mécanismes continueront, avec d’autres noms, d’autres visages, d’autres affaires. Epstein n’était pas une fin. Il était un symptôme. * Les bactéries sont de remarquables machines-outils destinées à démanteler les cellules âgées/malades, les cancers ou les échafaudages utilisés pour réparer certaines blessures. Les maladies dues à des germes dits "pathogènes" sont des processus de guérison. Elles ne s'aggravent que si des nutriments importants manquent. Par exemple, dans le cas du tétanos, les microzymas construisent des bacilles tétaniques dans les lésions musculaires profondes causées par des plaies ou des brûlures en milieu anaérobie (sans oxygène). Leur mission est d'évacuer les cellules endommagées et de reconstruire de nouveaux tissus. Mais ce travail demande beaucoup d'énergie et génère des déchets. En l'absence de vitamine C, ces déchets deviennent toxiques et déclenchent les fameux spasmes du tétanos. Il a été démontré à plusieurs reprises que l'injection de chlorure de magnésium arrête les spasmes en une demi-heure. En revanche, l'injection de vitamine C permet une guérison en deux ou trois minutes. La Commission européenne a nommé l'Américaine Fiona Scott Morton au poste d’économiste en chef de la concurrence. L'arrivée de cette ancienne responsable anti-trust du président Barack Obama interroge sur l'influence étasunienne à Bruxelles. En effet, Fiona Scott Morton a assisté Microsoft dans le cadre de l’acquisition de l’éditeur de jeux vidéo Activision et a travaillé pour Apple et Amazon. L'économiste a été régulièrement interrogée sur ses liens avec des entreprises comme Apple et Amazon, avec qui elle a signé des accords de confidentialité. Fiona Scott Morton s'était justifiée, déclarant en 2020 : «Je travaille avec des entreprises dont je suis confiante dans le fait qu’elles respectent la loi». Fiona Scott Morton a su se montrer très critique avec Google et Facebook en proposant des solutions pour imposer aux géants du numérique le respect des normes de concurrence.
